 Navigate the Barnsley Canal main sections by using the 'Related Pages' menu on the right. The pages are listed from the River Calder, Wakefield to Barnsley, and on to Barnby Basin.

This alternative route for walkers between Cold Hiendley Bridge and Old Royston. Initially follows the canal on the opposite bank to the Trans Pennine Trail (click here for the Trans Pennine Trail route).
This route uses two public rights of way: Havercroft with Cold Hiendley No. 1 and and Notton No. 5; there is a junction with Notton No. 4.

3. Along the journey this path heads away from the canal and, just by the railway line, Havercroft FP1 meets Notton FP4 (for Chevet Lane), and Notton FP5 for Old Royston.
